Welcome to Mrs. Roberts' Enrichment Technology Class Wiki!

This wiki is a compilation of the different technology research projects that were done by the 6th, 7th and 8th grade Enrichment Technology Classes. Students have a choice of researching:

• an individual who had a significant impact on technology, or
• the development of a significant technology.

There are three parts to the project:

• A timeline of the person's life (must include 10 significant events), or how the technology evolved (including what was done before the technology and a prediction of where the technology is going).
• An entry into the classroom encyclopedia (this wiki). The entries must be created by students in Word. Mrs. Roberts must approve all entries before they are created. Students can include relevant photos, external links, sound or video files.
• A presentation to the class about the research topic. The presentation can be done in any manner (powerpoint presentation, webpage, video), but the manner in which it will be delivered MUST be approved by Mrs. Roberts.
• Students are also responsible for creating a bibliography of all sources used to complete the project.
• Students will be asked to evaluate their bibiography of sources using the IMSA DIF website. Once the sources have been evaluated, students will be asked to supplement their work with at least one additional source.

The entry into the wiki should answer the following questions:

• A summary of the technology (what does it do? what did it replace?) or the technological contributions of the individual you researched (what did they do for technology?)
• A detailed explanation of the information listed on the timeline. This should include an explanation of the importance of each listed event (Why did you choose this event?).
• A correctly formatted bibliography with at least 3 different sources.
